FRIENDS OF THE CANCER CENTRE SPONSORED WALK

Michele & Esthers Charity Walk

Following on from our Successful Charity Rock night where we raised £1000.00 for Friends of the Cancer Centre in Belfast City Hospital, 2 of the clubs lady riders decided to participate in the Charity’s Annual 10 mile sponsored walk.

On Saturday 10th May off we set, the sun was shining and there was quite a turnout for the walk. The setting for the walk was Belvoir Forest and Lagan Valley Regional Park which was lovely to walk round. We walked 6 miles then stopped for lunch which was kindly supplied by the charity, after re-fuelling we soldiered on the 4 miles to finish off.

Esther and I have raised a further £300 to date for this most worthy Charity and intend to now make this walk an annual event.
