FRIENDS OF THE CANCER CENTRE
Formerly friends of mongomery house

Saturday 12th April - One of our Club Members with full support from Boothill MCC arranged a CHARITY ROCK NIGHT in the ROSETTA BAR music by THE MICHAEL E THOMAS BAND, all proceeds will go to FRIENDS OF THE CANCER CENTRE at BELFAST CITY HOSPITAL, this was a highly successful evening and £1000.00 was raised for an extremely good cause. A big thank you to the staff at Provincewide Harley-Davidson for their kind donation of items for the Auction, to our own Club Members for their help in running the event and their donations for the raffle, and an even bigger Thank You to all who came and supported this Event.

Colleen Shaw a representative of "Friends of the Cancer Centre" met with us at our Club House to recieve the cheque and to give a talk on what the money raised would go towards supporting, such as the upgrading of Glenview, the patient hotel, which now resembles 5 star accomodation where the patients can stay during their radiotherapy treatment. The funding of a Research Radiographer by "Friends" since 1999 has permitted the development and implementation of research which has improved and advanced patient treatment and care, to name but a few.

Michele and Esther took part in a sponsored walk on SATURDAY 10th MAY departing from BELVIOR FOREST PARK all proceeds going to this worth while cause.
